Tattoos

I suppose I wonder if he will ever mark his own body
the way he marked mine.
I look down and see him
even when I’m looking at myself.

This is why the good boys get tattoos
that say mom.

    Very cute. What is harder than an actual tattoo that one can see? The ones that no one can see but us.

    Love it. It gives my stretch marks a whole new significance! Now if someone asks if I have a tattoo, I can say, “well, I do have a permanent body modification that marks a significant event in my life.”
