Changing Me In That Moment

There was a blue curtain
and pulling and then
You
Crying and huge
Next to me
But no longer inside of me.

You
Changing me in that moment
From everything else I was
Now a mother.
And then the curtain was down.
I was stitched.

Somehow
Incomplete and complete.
My child on my chest.
Us.

  1. Love this, Aish! Your talent continues to move and impress me.

  2. I love the curtains and stitching imagery/metaphors in this. How things get revealed, how we get attached.
