Day 5 – A Cinquain

This is another NaPoWriMo prompt. According to them “A cinquain is a poem that employs stanzas with five lines. Each line has a certain number of accented or stressed syllables, and a certain number of overall syllables per line.” It’s got some other things I decided to ignore because I’m that kind of writer (a rebel, really). Okay, here’s my attempt:

Light Cinquain

The trees
have gotten pale
in the anemic light
of the surprisingly weak sun
this spring.
